Jack Stone, who is re-opening the Darwin mine, generously agreed to dismantle the building for us. I can't tell you what a relief that was for our aging crew of volunteers. In a few weeks, working occasionally as his schedule allowed, he skinned the structure and dismantled parts of the frame. Take a look.

September 25, 2008...Finished! A huge step. Many, many thanks to Jack Stone and his crew! If LADWP approves our lease we can reassamble the building as our maintenance garage, move #18 and begin work on the boiler. Finally!
